Wecome to Bridgette's Taisty Treats site - Our Favorite Food!

Bridgette's Corner
Food01

This will be maintained by Bridgette. ;-)  Seemingly Kevin as she is a bum.  ;-)  So anything I put optional by, I do not add and do not recommend personally.  Do what you want, explore.  Experiment.  Got something you think should be added?  E-mail me!  We’ll try it and if we agree we’ll add it and you may win a prize!
Apparently she is not going to do this, so here is a link I found that I like, it is a good guide:

CopyKatjpg

http://www.CopyKat.com as it has a lot of the secret ways to make, say Mc D's secret sauce and so on. It may not be exact, but look at the site, and it is free. ;-) I found stuff from Chili's, TGIF, Starbucks and more. Again, these are very close replications of the original, these are not the original recipes!
Here are a few of Kevin's favorite dish's!

Broccoli Cheese Soup 2 Cups of Pioneer Country Gravy, Prepared 10 Oz. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed 2 Cups Mild Cheddar and Monterey / Colby Blend, grated 1 Tablespoon Parmesan cheese (optional-we do not use) 1 Tablespoon onion, minced (optional-we do not use) Combine all ingredients.  BLEND well.  SIMMER until thoroughly heated.  For best results, chop broccoli to very small pieces, and cook until very tender.

Kevin’s Famous Szechwan Chicken 1 - 6 Pound bag of chicken (white or dark - either is awesome!) chopped / thinly sliced 1 - 4 Pound bag of Oriental Vegetables 6 Cups cooked brown rice 1 and 1/2 bottles of House of Tsang Szechuan 1 Bottle of House of Tsang Stir Fry 1 Large yellow onion 2 Tablespoons of minced garlic Put the chicken to a large wok.  Cook on high with a splash of water.  Always watch and stir.  Once chicken turns white drain the water and add the garlic and finely chopped onion.  Also add the 2 1/2 bottles.  Cook the rice once the chicken is 3/4 of the way done.  This would be a good starting point for the rice.  Add the Oriental vegetables.  Once steamed and soft, it is ready!

This is my favorite coffee shop in Portland, Coffee Time. New owners, they stopped their M&M cookies which is why my wife went there, but still has that NW Portland / Downtown Portland atmosphere. Heaters above your head outside when it is cold, WiFi, good coffee - duh... has really nice back rooms, couch's, great for studying or research, they have chess boards you can use and if you want to have lunch there are plenty of places close by, but this shop does have a variety of snacks. I would say for comfort, location and caffeine factor, it gets a 2 thumbs up!!
