Welcome to my personal site! This should be a fun place for friends and family!
It was very fun and interesting. The way he captured your imagination and went into detail, makes you care for the innocent girl was amazing, then what the government did to their family, and how is was plausible and even possibly real. It really captured my imagination so I went on to read more. This ia ll before the iPod and before audio books got so popular. I first thought audio books were for seeing impaired people, but found on long commutes and lunch breaks they were ideal. I have read probably half of his books and listened to the other half. From here on when I say I read a book, it could be audio or paperback, to me it is the same with someone else's voice. My next book was about an alien who lived in the sewers who woke every 30 years. It was simply called, It:

He could describe a carnival so in depth that it invoked the smell of cotton candy machines, popcorn and so much more. It was then I realized he was genius with his writing and could do anything on paper he wanted and it will almost be perfect every time. There was The Dead Zone, Carrie, Christine, The Shining and others. Many others. Then He made some I call Gotcha's. He wrote under the name of Richard Bachman as he was pinned only a horror writer. He proved them wrong with The Green Mile:

This book was in the best sellers list of course, but broke all records, it was on there three or four times at once, because instead of writing the book and publishing the entire thing, he sold it in chapters, so 1 chapter was 1 book. And it turned out to be quite a movie. Another he did that no one thought he could have written was about some boys who heard that someone was hit by a train and their lifeless body was still there. The boys were in a small town and had no excitement, so they went on a trip to see it but the story is really of their youth and the journey, it was called The Body, but we all know it as Stand By Me.

This is an all star cast, the type Hollywood dreams of having now as all of them are extremely popular and have excelled in life as actors. Another notable Gotcha' was about an inmate who was wrongfully inprisioned and how he had to cope with it and how he did some very, very amazing things while in this living hell for most. It was called Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption.

Duma Key was great, The Stand, and my favorite 7 book series of all was called The Dark Tower Series, starting with the Gun Slinger. Please look into these books, as many are not so horrific, but great tales of life. I can't go into great detail about my favorite book as it is so intense, the story's so surreal, you really should just read it. Here is a quote he always uses with this from an even older author, Robert Browning in 1855. Below is the poem and that ends my thoughts, for now. I hope it is entertaining for you all and maybe you can share some of the love for this man's creative creations and inspiring entertainment, and I would have to say, that has ever graced our presence.

Books I have read or listened to on my iPod / iPhone . . .

Stephen King - My favorite author and why...

Here you will find a list of books I have read and books I like a lot. You may like to read them too, you may not, but you get a better insight into what makes me tick.

Although you will will be hard pressed to find what makes me tick by reading a few web site pages and the books I have read. Ask my wife, she still has no clue, and my parents and other family you ask?
They gave up years ago! And yes, the books are always better than the movies!

The first book I ever read was about a sweet girl played by Drew Barymore who could invoke fires with her mind. It was called, Fire Starter.
